I am one of the others. I use a GLX MBR782C. It is a 6'6" Med. Fast Action rod and is used mostly for jigging heavy spoons. I love this rod's light weight and also have cast cranks and bottom bounced with it. It does a fine job with everything I have tried.

I too am an "other" with a Gl3 PR842S -- 7' one piece spinning, fast action, 6-12#, 1/4-1/2 oz. Great for jigs down to 1/16 oz and spoons/cranks off the pier to 3/4 oz.
Really targeted as a saltwater flats rod, but has been great for eyes, smallies, and piers for steelhead/browns/coho.

To fish, or not to fish? -- its not a question.

The Survey should also include the 641 and the 642 - the shorter 5 foot 4 inchers- They rock for vertical jigging!

I also have the PR8400S-23/7' Med-Light. I use it much more than my SJ721. Another "Other" category rod not mention that I love to use for bottom bouncing and throwing cranks for eyes is the CBR 843/7'Med Crank Bait Series rod.
