So which unit is better. The 160 or 350. I know the 350 is higher resolution. Isn't the only difference that the 160 can be hooked to your pc and the 350 cannot be? What else am I missing? What would you guys recommend? Good angling!!

LMS 160 has mapping and PC connectivity standard. 350 does not have mapping. There is a way to upload/download waypoints from PC to the 350. You have to make some kind of adapter cable and install some files on your PC. Screen is bigger on 350. If mapping is not critical to you, go with the 350A. If mapping is a requirement, 160 is for you. If you want mapping and can swing the extra $, a real nice setup would be a LMS 1600 (Mapping GPS Only no Sonar) and the X-85 Sonar with speed and temp. I've got a 350 now and love it but if starting from scratch, 1600 and X-85 is the setup I would go with.

I think you should go with the two separate screens to get the most from your gps and sonar. It will cost a little bit more but the years you own them will override the extra $$$. The LMS 350 won't be made after next year anyway, although it will be around for many years to come for those who already have it. Two thumbs up on these two units. If you can swing it give a serious look at the Vexilar edge. Ive seen it show a fish that pulls up off of the bottom to take a verticle jig. What a fabulous unit, not cheap, but its definately not junk either. :)
