Hi ya WallyTap!

I was glad to meet you too! I always enjoy meeting folks from Walleye Central, and putting faces with the names.
Don't worry about your post. I knew exactly what you meant...LOL

I hope you had as much fun up in Green Bay as I did! Even though I ended up way way down on the winners list, I had two fun pros and had a great time fishing with both of them.

Chris was having a great day, and the emoiton of it caught up with him. I found it endearing. I think he is one heck of a good guy, (smart as a whip too!) and I enjoyed fishing with him again. Cracked me up when he had to get out of the boat twice to push us off of some rocks up by the dam though...brrrr that had to be cold!!! On stage he showed what a true professional he is and I am not shy to say that I sure do admire him. Way to go Chris!

I hope to see you again Wally down at the Walleye Central Get Together in Huron, OH!!! It's going to be a great time this year! Hope you can make it!

Take care,

Juls

Juls, you are the best!!! That was the first time in sport that I have gotten caught by emotion. I have been blessed with accomplishing some great heights in sports, but that was first time I broke down. That just shows you how big this event is and how important it is to all the competitors. Thanks for being there. Also, Thank You for the kind words.

For everyone else. If you weren't there, be sure to catch it on TV. Man, what a big time event!! Forget the money, the competition was unbelievable. The money has brought out the best, brought anglers that would otherwise pass on the travel and time away. Dean proved he is the best. Wait till you see his performance on TV, you will be in awe. The Keenan's, what more can you say. Those guys are the real deal. Then throw in "mother goose" Pat Neu, Meleen, and Zollar and you have a terrific top six. I was very proud of all six of them. They represented the sport all of us love very, very well.

As for Juls. After day two the top 12 have an hour and a half meeting, boat and electronics crash course, a ton of well wishers, then we have to unload our boats, load our new boats and get everything ready for the next day. I was on my own and was worried about how I was going to get it all done. My biggest worry, I had no clean clothes. Juls not only did a load of laundry for me, she delivered them at 4:15 am the next morning with coffee and donuts!!! I have a friend for life. Talk about good people! We are all blessed with great people in our sport. I needed lures, Scott and Marty Glorvigan took care of me. Bruce Samson helped me with strategy as did Rick LaCorsse and Bill Ortiz. The morning of day three I had breakfast with Gary Roach and Todd Frank who built my confidence and self esteem with talk of strategy. What a great group!

Thanks to all!! Juls, you are the creme de'la creme!!!

I've been trying to think of something funny to say in response since I read this 3 hours ago, but I'm finding it hard to.
Your words have made me feel really good today, and it has taught me a lesson that I didn't expect.

I guess what I'm trying to say is this...
On Thursday night I should have been sitting in a whirlpool (my only chance) sipping on hot totties with my friends after 9 straight days of fishing hard, and instead I was sitting in a laundry mat across from the football stadium all alone at 10:30pm.
It never even crossed my mind not to help you out, because I knew you were in town without the rest of "Team Stizo", and needed the help.
The lesson I learned here is that sometimes when we make sacrifices for others without any expectations for anything in return, the paybacks are 10 fold. Your saying you have a "friend for life now" means the world to me. ;-)

Thanks buddy!

Geez Juls - I couldnt even get you out to go fishing! Thats OK, maybe we'll just start with the laundry and coffee - come to think of it I need an oil change...

Just funnin' with ya!

Sounds like it was a blast - just to be part of, wish I coulda been there but had to work in Boscobel this past weekend.

There's still some time before the lakes freeze hopefully!! I have been wanting to get on that private lake of yours, but never had the time. I've got the 17th, 18th, 19th, 24th, 25th, and 26th off this month. Do any of these days work with your schedule?
I have one more tourney down at Spring Valley on the 4th and then I'm heading straight to Huron for a week of fishing on Erie. After that, I'm pretty much done until ice out.
Let me know...
