Insurance coverages

In the thread about the possibility of a Walleye Central Club, the insurance issue was brought up. Since I am shopping for insurance for my new boat, I would like some insight from the board about insurance companies, prices, claims, etc. I had Boat US coverage on my last boat, it seemed ok, but I never had a claim.

I suggest you speak to a local Independent Agent www.iiaa.org. Most companies will combine your vehicles, homeowners, and boat insurance into one nice package for a pretty good discount. Plus when you have a claim, you only need to call one Adjuster and they won't start agruing with themselves about who is covering what under which policy.
