Mark Dorn told me at the PWT championship banquet in mid September that an announcement about location for the 2002 championship would be within a month. WELL 2 1/2 months later we are still waiting Mark.
Oh! well maybe I am getting a little anxious. Anyone know the location.
I have heard several rumors but will not mention them here, yet.

I heard through the vine that they were looking at the Quad cities area on the Mississippi. But you know how the vine is.

We know we have been very lucky to have hosted the PWT on more than one occassion over then last few years and we very much appreciate it. In fact we have appreciated it so much PLEASE COME BACK AGAIN!!!!!!!!
The pros, the vendors, the fans are all great and it is a great event. What the heck we might as well be greedy and ask for it agian.
Thanks

Wondering Why

The PWT lost Dodge as one of the major sponsors this year. They send out a form for enties but it does not give any paybacks or Championship location. They are sure dumb if they think people will enter and not know what they are fishing for. The RCL will be taking entris with in the next two weeks, WITH HUGE PAYBACKS and all their ducks in a row. Co-Anglers fish for all cash and they back twice what the PWT pays back. I'd look real hard at this years tournaments and decide which is got it together. I've talked to alot of the pro's and alot of guys that are going to fish the Co-Angler side of the RCL this year.

Nope, didn't take the time to register, but it's me.
Thanks for the sniper shot and the advertisement. Nope, I don't even fish the PWT. But what was it Grandpa said, "Anybody that has to build something up by tearing something down is _______." Well... you fill in the blank.
The PWT has brought walleye fishing to the forefront and continues to do so. The PWT also lets in anglers regardless of boat choice, truly an "open" format that the RCL does not replicate. I highly applaud the RCL for raising purse monies and bringing more fans and interest to the sport.
