Did anyone try to watch the show yesterday? I tried, but MSC ran some useless BS while they were waiting to run the resignation speech from Jimmy Johnson. I was pretty upset! Anyone else? If you saw it...Was it a good show?

Lund Dude:

Just found your message on the board tonight(Sunday, Jan. 23). MSC pre-empted FTM last Sunday for the Jimmy Johnson retirement as you know. MSC then aired FTM at noon that Sunday during the Vikings game. MSC was kind enough to re-air that show today at 10:30 a.m. We were catching big, big crappies on Red Lake with Duane Peterson and trolling for walleyes and pike with Mike Frisch and his daughter Sara. We have received many favorable comments regarding that show.

We will be airing on MSC for the remainder of the season, unless something unexpected happens, at 9:30 a.m. Sundays. Hope you can catch us.

Thanks for your interest in Fishing the Midwest.

Mr. Jensen,

I live in Colo. and I don't get to see your show. Fox Sports did run it a couple of years back and it was good to see a down to earth show done from back home. My family and i recently purchased a new boat and are coming up to Minnesota to fish in early June. We'll stay in the Northome area and I've heard the crappies are doing very well Red Lake. I would like to know if you have any advice for finding and fishing crappies on Red Lake that time of the year. thanks, i miss your show.

Aurora:

Red Lake should be just right for the crappies in early June. That is about when we were there last year. We fished the north end. Look for small bottom irregularities in 6-8 feet of water. Crappies were within 3 feet of the surface, sheepshead were on the bottom. 1/16th ounce Whistler jigs tipped with Power Tubes were the hot set-up. If you want a tape of the show we did on Red Lake, e-mail me at bjensen@frontiernet.net
