Fished fri nite till midnite Few crappie and one keeper saugeye. Lost one nice 3-5lb fish. Fished 12-14' of water along the old creek channel. Ice was thin - 3"-5" with patches of soggy looking areas. Was told not to fish south of the west boat ramp. Which we took the advice wisely. Had a light dusting of snow early pre dawn saturday morn. We went out saturday morn at 5:00am. Went out a little further fished 14-16' on the edge of the old creek channel. Caught lots of 8"-12" crappie, Ten hand sized bluegills, Some nice white bass. caught one 17", one 16" and two 15" saugeyes. Big one came on a 4"shinner. Others came on big fatheads. Had some white bass hit the jigging raps but no eyes on jigging raps. Had a few brave souls venture out to the south trees. From the hoots and hollers it sounded like they were catching fish also. Might head back down there next weekend if we get another cold snap. "COMA"

Thanks for the report Val. I used to live in Creston and fished Twelve Mile frequently.

Keep up the reports when the ice starts to go out. I loved fishin Twelve when the ice was just leaving.

Could catch eyes near the **** almost any night you chose.

Great memories, most of em in the dark.

Hire walleyes unlimited guide service to put you on the action. :-) http://www.angelfire.com/ia/smubaa/index.html or Pitch jigs to the east shore, Lot of shore line though? Cast stick baits in the trees, Lots of trees?. Spinners on slip sinker rigs with crawlers or minnows slow trolled on my favorite flat?. :-) "COMA"
