Recently I was told about a lake located in the old camp grayling area near Kalkaska Michigan. I don't know if the spelling is right but the guy I was talking to said it was called lake margarith.

I am moving to the Kalamazoo area from california at the end of Dec. I look forward to doing some great walleye fishing in my new home state. The wife is a MI native from Petoskey but has not heard of the lake. If any one know of it and any other good smaller bodies of water in the kalamazoo/Plainwell area I would greatly appreciate it.

I can be emailed at hockey_bum66@yahoo.com

Thanks again!!

i have fished it a few times, its not a very big lake but the walleye fishing is very good there. a lot of people in mi here dont even know the lake is there or has walleye,s in it. a very well kept secret and its a very clear lake compaired to other lakes around here. the walleye,s are mostly eater size and some of the best eating walleye,s in mich as far as my opinion goes. does not have the greatest boat launch but ya can launch most any walleye boat there. good choice of lakes to try !! houghton lk is also good just about 20 mi,s south of there, a lake thats not real deep but pretty good size has good everything fishing and real good walleye,s to top it off. good luck fishin and hope to see ya around there fishin some day. mike/hammertime
