Anyone have tips for white bear lake in Minneapolis? I tried drivting livebait off Manatou island and caught nothing. Going to try weedbeds and troll cranks off 17' humps. Any other suggestions?

First off White Bear Lake is not in Minneapolis, its in White Bear lake!!! ( I lived there and fished it plenty as a boy!)
In spring try the reef right out from Ramsey beach, jig and minow, next try drifting the flats to the East of there. I shouldn't be telling you this, (minneapolis, give me a break!)
Try not to drown, OK?!?

Fish the lake later in the day, lots and lots of gators gobble up your stuff during the daylight. The island is a good place to run raps in the arly evening.
