Hi: will be in the area the second week of June.
Has anyone fished for walleye there? If so help me out, I've not been there. What to, how to, etc.
Thanks for the help. Judo

I fish calamus a lot you might be a little late by the second week in june this year. It seems like every thing is a little early this year. I have been there two times this spring and not done real well, but the fish were stageing for the spawn when I was there and there was a weather change both times. I now some people that were there and caught some really nice fish already.
I think that any time from now on untill may will be real good, maybe a little longer. They should be done spawning by now and that means they are going to be shallow and hungery, real hungery.
I usually fish from 3 to 10 feet of water with a bottom bouncer and a spinner with a nightcrawler or a leach. The fishing is excellent and the fish are as healthy as you will find.
Only problem is that when it starts you won't be the only one there. There will be a ton of people trying it.
If you know what you are doing you will catch fish and some reall nice ones no problem.
