Will be making our first ever trip to Lake Vermilion and would appreciate any advise on location, depths, presentation and baits to use. We will be on the lake from the 3rd - 10th of June. What should a person expect the weather to be like?

We have fished Vermilion for the last 5 years but always go a week later than what you are doing.
Are you going to be on the east or west end of the lake. They seem to almost be two separate lakes.
Walleye will be out from shore by then but smallmouth will be tight to the bank at that time.
