I am trying to decide whether to go to Lake Francis Case in S.D. or Lake Rathbun in Iowa. I am going tomorrow and staying until Saturday. I have heard the fish haven't turned on yet at Rathbun and I haven't heard any reports from below the Dam at Lake Francis Case for a while. Any info would be appreciated!
Thanks, Chad

Hey Chad,
Don't know where I posted it earlier, but local info here is that Rathbun isn't "going" yet..Water real low and the temp is in the 50's..Don't know how well you know the lake, but I have heard from a bait dealer friend today that he was heading to Red Rock near Des Moines instead of Rathbun..Good Luck wherever you end up...

>Thanks again! Chad While you are there if you are in a boat try running spinners and crawlers on the reef just up the lake from rolling cove in 6-10' of water for some walleye action. bite was pretty hot there last weekend. Good Luck "COMA"
COMA,
Thanks for the info, we managed to pick up some eyes on Thursday, but then the front came through. It was tough the rest of the weekend. I saw a lot of boats, but I think most of them were crappie fishing and not having much luck. Thanks again and let me know if you here anything about Rathbun again.

If you,re going to fish South Dakota think the westbend area of Lake Sharpe, the bite is very hot here, using bottom bouncer,s plain hook and minnow.
