Heading to Leech Lake from Colorado for some fishing/family reunion 6/9-12. Can't count on my relatives to find fish so asking for some tips to catch some walleyes. Staying at Huddles resort. Thanks for the help.

Try sucker bay, ottertail point big hardwood
littlehardwood points.Try the flats around goose island better yet ask the resort owners they are a great source of information.this time of the year watch for the little northerns(snakes).Perch should be ok ,if you find a big school of them the walleyes are usually cruising the outer edges of them.Have a great time fishing and be safe on the water.I myself fished leech lake for 8years,but am headed again to Canada this year in july. Will return to leech in 2001.

try outtertail point suckerbay, bighardwood littlehardwood and goose island, also the west end flats around it.Watch the weather because thats the key point on catching wlleyes at leech,no wind no walleyes.Small northerns (snakes) will steal your bait and drive you nuts .Perch fishing be pretty good, find a big school and you will find walleyes cruising the outer edges.Dont be afraid to use a slip bobber in the weeds,be surprised what you can catch.Ask the resort owners they really have all the info. youwill need.Fished leech the last 8 years but am heading up to Canada
this year again.Have a great time be water safe,
save some for the next guy.
