Didn't fish it, but the story I heard was 40 pounds over two days won it, took 29 pounds to get into the money (16th place; something like 168 teams!). Obviously a pretty good bite.

It took 46 pounds to win it, Vowers and Vowers took it hands down. 2nd place went to the Hinckley brothers. 3rd and 4th were a tie. I'll get the results online as soon as Eric gets them to me.
We had 28.05 pounds and were in 30th place. The bite was in Airport Bay in the trees with jigs or cranks. Leeches worked best. Muddy also had some good fish in it but Airport was the best place if you watched the checks going out.
We fished the rocks on saturday and caught lots of fish also, but no size to them (not big enough for a tourney) they were running in the 15-18 inch range and plenty of them. The bigger fish were in the weeds and trees.... You needed almost a 3 pound average to get into the money.
The rule was "nothing less than 20 inches in the boat" other fish just wouldn't do you any good. Lots of people threw away 18 and 19 inch fish on day one just to end up weighing smaller fish (we did too) and some didn't weigh at all.
