Will be fishing Winnebago on next week. Would appreciate any information available. Where to start, what to use, current reports, etc.

try the east side trolling shallow lot of small fish some nicer fish it takes awhile to sort through the small ones. hope this helps good luck!

It is a very shallow lake. The only thing that anybody does is troll. Especially Lindy Rigs.

was out there yesterday,friday. if its windy with good chop,drift with harness'es n worms otherwise troll with harnesses or plugs. lots of w.bass and sheephead. kill them suckers, good luck we were fishing the east side from pipe to brothertown. watch for the ridges

Actually, drum eat zebs. Not a bad thing.

When trolling at Winnebago, run shallow along the shorelines with boards. Try going faster than you think you should, like 3 mph. Seems to trigger more strikes.

People also slip bobber over reefs when the wind is blowing. Or, try jigs and crawlers or leeches in the weeds. If you go up to Butte Des Mortes, use small jigs and leeches or crawler pieces on the edges of the cane beds close to the channel. That is one fun way to fish.
