zercom lpg 2000

I just got one of these and I have only used it about 1/2 hour (since I am busy and can't get out rt now. I have owned several fish finders including a paper graph Lowrance x15 which I love. So far the Zercom seems impressive,..but I'm wondering how well you can see the screen at nite. My impression was its not very bright,..it occurs to me that I probably could leave it on the day mode with a book light attached,..but it would be nice to be able to use the light that comes with it.

Mine works fine at night. I usually turn the contrast down 1 notch and set the light setting up to high, works great.
