I'm planning on going to Little Bay De Noc in late Sept. with a few buddies who havn't fished it before and was wondering if anyone has fished it recently? I've fished it a few years ago in late Sept. and did fairly well vertical jigging, drifting and casting rapalas at night....any news or advice would be appreciated, plus any info. on a reasonable motel to spend a few nights. Thanks.....
Try www.baydenoc.com. When you get there remember the water level is down nearly five feet so go slow and watch out for sand bars! Go slow, have fun, and be carful. And and practice c.p.r..

I've been up there four times in the last five years and am going back the second week in Nov. Bay De Noc. com is agood site to look up and so is Little Bay De Noc. com. About everything you'll need to know is on these web sites, fishing reports, motels and more. your going up early enough so I would concentrate on the weeds and weedlines. What has worked best for me is long line trolling after dark, either with or without planers over the weed tops. For baits I use Thunderstick AJs and Rapalas. For the most part I rig and jig during the day along break lines and troll and fan cast the shallows at night. Hopes this helps ------ it works for me.
Visit www.baydenoc.com and www.littlebaydenoc.com for more info about the area.
Hope this helps,
Gary
