i keep posting with no replies. i wish i could find someone to correspond and possibly fish the local lakes such as piedmont , clendening , saltfork and tappan. come on guys or gals lets talk. i would like to meet and fish with new folks. you never have too many fishing buddies.

I purchased into a camp ground near your area, Grand Haven Resort, have you heard of it, i think it is near Salt Fork State Park. Did not get to go much this year. My parents have a camper at Seneca Lake, i fish that lake few times a year. I won't be out their till next spring, I will look ya up on here before i go, maybe we can wet a line.

I fish Piedmont some time. I don't have much time for fishing like I would like, but who does.I try to fish the shallows a lot. I do jigs/minno's real good. I am going out in a little while today infact. I'm letting it warm up a little first. I have other things to do first then I'm takeing out the boat.I have never gotten in to the trolling thing.I'm always ready to learn if thats your way of doing things. Maybe we could get together some day and fish and shoot the sh--. Where do you live? Are you in the local proximinty of Piedmont? Live near by in other words.

yes i do live close, about 20 min. away. i was out yesterday, caught 6 fish 15 to 18 inches. i want to go back out today. i've been drifting harnesses tipped w/ crawlers and verticle jigging w/ minnows. how close do live to my lake . when out there look for me, i have a green pontoon w/ the bottom line on the front of the canopy. would really like to get together for some fishing, mostly fish by myself except on week-ends when the wife or kids want to go.

I live in Bridgeport, on the river.Up the street 4 blocks from the river and your on my front porch.I have some things going on this Sat. and I don't know whats happening Sun. If I can I try to get outas much as I can.Even if its only for a couple of hours.Are you useing minno's with your vert. jigs? Where do you park your tunner?

i trailer my pontoon, so i can fish anywhere the bite is on. went out today in front of spillway and than to the roadbed. i should have stayed at the spillway. today i was using shiners, it seems to attract a little larger fish. i've been tipping on jig but today i started using a wire hook with a large split shot. a couple of guys i ran into the last couple days told me it was working well and i think they are right. do you ever fish the river for eyes.

What river are you talking about? The Ohio or the one out by you. I would like to find out where is the river that the Tapan Lake spillway dumps into. Some guy told me that in the spring the fisherman are lined up elbo to elbo on the dam that the spillway feeds into.
As for fishing the Ohio River, yes I do fish it when I have some time.I usually fish it from shore rather than the boat.I just walk and toss jigs to catch sauger and white bass.I don't eat the fish out of the river so I don't spend much time there.The fish are probably alright to eat according to the EPA, but it is in my mind the way it use to be and that is all it takes. the roadbed is from the south end of the dam going across at about a 45 degree angle. if you have a depth finder you can't miss it, its at 22ft & 30ft on both sides. and you will not be able to miss the line of boats on it. the bite was very slow yesterday but i ended up with 6 keepers. B.R., have you ever logged on www.gofishohio.com if not, check it out, i like it because its all ohio. maybe i'll see ya on the lake. not going today, but will be there friday and saturday.

i will tell you where those guys are talking about. it is where the big and little stillwater creeks meet below the 250 & 36 bridge & where the big stillwater dumps into the tuscarawas river. and for your info they are fishing both places now.

Thanks for the info on the rivers, And the road bed.I don't get all the way down to the dam usually when I fish Piedmont. I start on the points and keep working them and they give up enough fish to keep me happy. I don't keep anything under 14in. and then it's going to be 2 or more or he goes back.Where are you getting your minnies now. I don't know if D&J is open now or not on rt#800. I know the marina is closed. I'm going out tomorrow for a little while in the afternoon till dark. I'll let you know how I do when I get back.

so you must be launching at reynolds road, try the sevenoaks point, lots of weeds. i have been trapping my own bait for about a week, i've got a creek right down the road that has nice chubs and shiners. i can catch about 6 dozen a night with one trap. i plan on fishing sunday also but i will be near the marina unless i can't get the bites i wants. i've done quite well by my standards this week, well over 30 fish, keeping over 20 over 15 inches. 1 was 20" wish i had 10 of those. you didn't say if you get on gofishohio.com. if not you have to check out the new maps.

I did make it out on Sunday. I do put in at Reynolds road. They have a nice launch now. They needed the dock for quit a while. Wasd you over in my neck of the lake Sunday? There was a tunner trolling around the corner from the end of Reynolds road. It was across from Hollaway Landing a couple of times. I was in the bass boat that went in close to shore across from Holl. Landing. We worked down thru there and drifted back around to Reyn. and worked our way back to the ramp. The tunner was loaded and gone when we got in. It didn't have the top up when we saw it so I couldn't check for the name.Good deal on catching your own minnies. I don't have that good of place to get them. I can go up to Yorkville to the bait shop and buy mine now before I go get the boat and head out to the lake. I store my boat at my mothers house because there is a lot more room. She lives in Lansing so it is on my way to the lake no matter where i'm going.

no that wasn't me at reynolds rd. but i was at the dam. had a real slow day only took home 2 keepers. on the fish ohio maps go to ohio info, they are really good maps. i hope to get in another week of fishing before i have to get out the old v-bttm i am really spoiled on the poon. hope we get to hook up. did you get any good fish sunday? maybe we should start corresponding on gofishohio so we can get other piedmont guys to talk to us.

Yeh I did male it out and we didn't do to bad. I lost 3 and caught 6. I kept 4. One was real nice. (19&halfin.)I had one on that was probablybigger than the 19 incher but he spit the jig on me and I still don't know how. I thru back 2 small ones. My brother was with me and all he could do was small ones with three going 14&half. They all looked alike. He thru back one about 12 in. He gives me his fish so I had 7 to clean. I do try sevenoaks points. Some time I go back in the cove and try to work the weed lines around the wood. The tunner that came by me had 2 guys in it and they were pulling 4 lines .I didn't get to talk to anybody at the launch ramp to see how they did.Hey I'm going to switch over and check out those maps Latter and keep themlines tight and wet and the other cold.
