i have noticed a few ohio anglers roaming the boards
i was just wondering if anyone had any good info on fishing alum creek resivoir during the day. most of the time during the day we cant get a bite but during the night its some of the best fishing u can imagine and all we do during the night is flatline with gold wallies and perch (these are the most productictive for us) we have tried everything imaginable fishing during the day we just cant get any fish and all the fish we catch at night are good fish so far we have caughten walleye from 15 inches to 25 and have lost mutch bigger and have also caughten several nice smallies one of them being 21 inces and very close to 6 pounds any info would help

Hi Bobby, thanks for the info. You should check out the Ohio fishing site at www.gofishohio.com Click on anglers forum. There are forums for all parts of Ohio, plus one just for ice fishing. A really good all around site with lots of good info. Good luck,Craig

Bobby, Here is the description of what to do to recover your password. If this doesn't work, perhaps re-registering would be in order.
Lost User Name and/or Password
Retrieving your username and password is simple, assuming that email features are turned on for this bulletin board. All of the pages that require you to identify yourself with your username and password carry a "lost password" link that you can use to have your username and password emailed instantly to your email address of record.
Hope this helps, Craig

Bobby, trolling crawler harnesses on bottom bouncers can be very productive at Alum during the day. Humps, points, and weedlines are the key. Also, during the day do not be afraid to go shallow, you can catch Alum saugeye in very shallow water in July and August, if you find the right structure. The biggest problem with fishing during the day is the heavy boat traffic, I think that is why the most consistent fishing is done at sunrise and sunset.

Bobby, I'm from N.E. Ohio and I've only fished Alum Creek once. But we had some success fishing deep water. We fished weeds, points, etc. but we could not pull any fish shallow. We caught all of our fish on deep channel breaks near the dam in 32-45 ft. on jigging spoons and jig/minnow combos. But remember that it was the cold water period(October) that we were fishing. I think that this tactic will produce on Alum when the only thing that seems to be happening is the night bite. Good Luck. MURFA

thanks for the info murfa
i have heard that crawler harnesses pulled with bottem bouncers along the dam work well that time of year (october, november)
as for not catching fish during the day we have found a sullution
head out at about noon and hit the bass at hoover (best when the sun is real hot and beaming down) fish the brush and timber with white or chart. spinnerbaits (big and alot of bass in this lake with good saugeye population) then at about 5:30 6 head to alum and start trolling for the saugeye/walleye smallies and muskie
this coming year is going to be a blast and thanks for all the replies
