I am planning a trip to Lake of the Woods in early February and would appreciate opinions on some good and bad resorts to help make my decision on where to go.
Thanks

I will presume that you are going to be fishing the US side. I usually go to Wheelers Point out of Baudette, MN. I've stayed at Sportsmans, Adrians, WigWam and Borderview. All offer full service ice fishing with transportation, house, bait and optional meals. I like Borderview the best although Sportsman's hot tub and pool are nice after dinner. I've been to Zipple Bay a couple of times and I'm not real impressed with their operation. If you have your own equipment and want to motel it, AmericInn is the best place in Baudette.
Fishing for W's is the best in January then sauger take over until March when the W's head back in or out depending on which expert you talk to.

Check with Riverview Lodge, it is also located along the Rainy north of Baudette, they usually have a special on their packages in February. We fished there a couple of years ago in February and everything was first class. Had a great time and would highly recommend them. If you are interested in a resort where you provide your own ice transportation go to Long Point north of Williams, I have been fishing there for years and they run a first class operation also.
Take care and good fishing

On the Canadian side, check out Witch Bay. Their website is
www.witchbay.com
Somewhere between 60% and 70% of their business is repeat customers. That should tell you something. Good luck.

My apologies. You are obviously looking for someplace for ice fishing. I didn't make that connection. Witch Bay is only open during the open water season. Sorry.
