Leech Lake Vacation

I am taking week vacation to Leech this summer. Walleye and muskie fishing.When should I go early July, late July or early August? Would love to go in September but the kids are back to school.Any info walleye and muskie patterns and when would help.Thanks Football Jig

If i were going up north i would pass right by leech lake on my way to lac suel its a bit firther N NW of leech but well worth the extra miles nice wallys and northers beautiful lake I go up once a year there and always stay at eveergreen lodge the people are great very helpful in telling you were to go as well. if you call up there ask to talk to gary and tell him one of his fishing buds from des moines iowa told you to call he is very knowlageable about the lake and will put you on fish that we always catch constitly. Its located near Ear Falls in nw Ont.

i have stayed at evergreen (garys place) at ear falls and i have
stayed at many places on leech lake. you will catch nicer fish and have much better accomodations on leech lake. there is no doubt that the walleyes are bigger on leech and the muskie are darn right huge on Leech Lake. the pressure on the ear falls area is tremendous. the fish are getting small and the area has nothing over leech lake. try huddles resort on leech lake for a great time. roy always knows where the fish are biting. if you want the best muskie guide on the lake, call jeff woodruff in walker. jeff boated and photo'd a 56" muskie last august on leech lake. your plan to fish leech is a good one.
