Hello everyone! I just thought I would leave a quick post to say hello and to tell you everything is going well over in Russia. We are playing really good and hopefully we can bring a gold medal back to the US. I will talk to everyone in about 10 days. I can't wait to get on the water. Being over here for this long has really made me appreciate what what we have. Take Care! Mike Peluso

Thats what the USA Today said of Mike Peluso! They say you are the new Russian hero and there was talk of taking down all the statues of Lenin and replacing them with statues of you! HONEST!! If you missed the article I can scan it and send it to you! Of course this all had to do with you scoring the winning goal against France which kept Russia from being eliminated. Shoot the puck, but no hooking until you are on the lake and good luck!

Is there any way to put the article on WC for every Peluso fan to read?

Team USA coach Lou Vairo jokingly tried to convince the president of the Russian Ice Hockey Federation on Thursday that US forward Mike Peluso should be viewed as a hero of Russian hockey.
"I told Russian Federation President (Alexander) Steblin Michael if Peluso dosen't score ( five minutes into the 3rd period), your Russian team would be in the relegation round," Vairo said by phone from the World Championships in St. Petersburg, Russia. "I said 'What you people should do is take all the statues of Lenin down and put up statues of Peluso.'"
Boasting a 2-0-1 record, the Americans are clearly having more fun than usual at the World Championships. They play Belarus on Friday and Latvia on Saturday with the idea that they are in the thick of the medal race. Peluso's goal gave the USA a 3-2 win against France, prevented Russia falling out of medal contention and most important added to the USA's confidence.
"These teams can all play over here," Vairo said. "The big thing is that the guys we have wanted to be here. For those players who chose not to come, they are missing out on a really great time."
Vairo will use Atlanta Thrashers goaltender Damian Rhodes (1-0-1) against Belarus, then come back with Robert Esche against Latvia. The Latvians have Carolina Hurricanes goaltender Aturs Irbe.
Calgary Flames defenseman Phil Housley is the offensive catalyst with two goals and one assist. Peluso has three points.
Hope I didn't infringe on any copywrites and if I did Zach or Scott pull this plug for me!

>Keep up the good work
Thanks everyone for the replies and nice words. I am very excited to talk to everyone when I return. We have qualified for the cross over game which means if we can win that one we will be in the medal rounds. I wish I could stay on line and answer questions on the chat and stuff but the internet over here is not cheap. I will be back in the States on the 15th of May. I will also be fishing the Pro Team walleye touney on Leech Lake the 25th and 26th of May. I hope to see some of you on the water. Thanks and I will talk to you later! Mike Peluso
