Hey Bob, Just wondering if you ever fished the St. Louis River in Duluth, and if so, what are your thoughts on it? Thanks, and enjoy your shows.

Yes, I have fished the St. Louis River a few times, and am looking forward to going back again soon, perhaps this spring. We did well when we were there. We pulled spinners mostly, but also pulled crankbaits and threw jigs. Fish were mostly 15-18 inches.
The St. Louis River is a good example of a river that has come back from human excesses. It was a terribly polluted river at one time as I understand it. It still is not a pristine river, but fish populations are very good. The St. Louis River is one of those places you can go to and catch a variety of fish. I would recommend it very strongly as a good place to go, especially early in the fishing season, if you're looking for action.
