3 mile should be real good for crappie this time of year, and you can always pick up a walleye or two there as a bonus. Stick with a small jig and minnow around the wood.
I live in Atlanta, Ga but my parents still live in Storm Lake. Dad said that they are picking up walleyes on the north shore in front of the parks like they do every spring. Just need a good south wind and sun to warm the water and move the baitfish. Good luck.

Smallmouth are biting on big spirit in the shallow rocky areas, use jigs and shallow running cranks, The spillway is running a little and there is some fish movement occuring there, that is an excellent whitebass spot when they start spawning, might be good by this weekend, it's also a good perch spot. They are still picking up bluegills and crappies in all the canals and lagoons in the lakes area. I hope this helps good luck whatever you do, I would probably fish storm lake for walleye personally-Josh R.

Thanks Josh, I'm leaning towards Lewis and Clark Lake by Yankton. You can fish up on the lake or below the dam if it gets windy. I probably won't know until I get in the truck on Saturday afternoon.

Ended up going to Yankton and fished below the dam because of the wind. Steady fishing, jig and minnow, keepers were 16-18 inch males. Not a bad trip.
