I have heard alot about the walleyes hitting cranks during the day on Clear Lake. For those of us that work during the day, are they hitting in the evening as well? Shad Raps in 6-10 feet?

The walleyes will go in the late afternoon and evening. One angler reported catching lots of walleyes on three inch Power Grubs/eighth ounce jig head in 3-5 feet of water between 6 and 8 p.m.
Smaller crankbaits are the key right now, but as the water warms, expect larger to be better. The last two years Frenzy medium minnows and Frenzy medium divers have been very good. Firetiger, crawfish, and the gold/black(bullhead color)are favorites. 6-12 foot depths, work back and forth and see if a pattern develops.
Let us know how you do.
