What's up with MOTORGUIDE???

Can any of you folks tell me what is going on (or the lack there of) at Motorguide?? I have been trying for over a month to get in touch with them, to no avail. I have left messages, tried their Web Site, (which was nonresponsive) and wrote a letter over two weeks ago! Are they still in business?

I need parts for my Great White, Big Water Gator Mount!

I hope that they didn't. I cringe at the idea of running minn kota. Maybe the company shutdown for a month. Others do it around the holidays, but you would think that would only involve production and not customer service.??

I work at a sports shop and we're having problems getting Mototguide parts as well. The reason behind it is that Mercury is taking over operations of Motorguide, so until everything is switched over it will take some time to get parts.

I hope it isn't too long of a period. I'd like to have that baby fixed by the Spring. Boat's in storage but the motor is at home just for that purpose!

You've probably already thought of this, but there may be someone at a Motorguide service center with some parts on hand.

Thanks but, yeah, I did! There aren't many around this area so I contacted a few via the Net. The part that I need, the "clutch channel" isn't something normally stocked. They AREN'T supposed to break!! Wanna bet???

I'm in the process of trying to get them to fix the interference with the Pinpoint 7420 that hooks up to my Excel 82SP. The big selling point for the setup, was the transducer is part of the motor and was supposed to have zero interference. I shoulda bought a MinnKota.

Call Mercury at 920-929-5040. I've left messages and they call back in a few hours. They won't be able to help you except to tell you to call Tri State Marine at 314-921-7292.
