I havent gone up this year to Spirit, as I have not heard anything and this year I am going up to Manitoba for walleyes. But I was wondering, are the perch running this year at Spirit? 2-3 years ago the bite was awesome, but last fall was particularly bad. ANyone have info on the perch bite this year it would be nice.

I live in spirit lake and have heard nothing about a perch bite. from what I saw under the ice, there are plenty of perch in the lake they are just mostly small now 2-6 inches in length. There are a few schools of nice fish in the lake, but as a whole the population is on the small side. Give it a couple years, it will come back. Walleyes are starting to bite though, and it might be an excellent time to try for muskies-ripper
