Some friends and I are planing a fishing trip for the last weekend in October. We do not have any specific area of Minnesota in mind, we will go wherever we have the best chance of catching fish. We prefer to fish for Walleye and will need to be in an area that has a resort. Any suggestions would be great.
Thanks
if you want to stay off big water go to woman lake it has been very good resorts all over with vacant opening

May want to head to Rainy River for a good fall river bite.
Check out www.clementsonresort.com
Mississippi River in Red Wing is in full swing for another good fall river bite with lots of numbers as well as a shot at some nicer fish as well.
Good Luck

Do you have a specific area in mind? Or maybe a general lake size in mind? All the big lakes (Leech, Winnie, Cass, Mille Lacs, etc.)would be good in October for Walleye. I agree with the earlier post, if you are looking for a smaller (but not tiny) lake, Woman Lake is great plus there are lots of other fishing lakes in the area that you could check out.
