Going to the lake sunday was wondering if anybody has been fishing there.If the fish dont bit i am sure i will enjoy the weather.

A little late with this reply Gary, but I was at CL Sunday as well and the weather was pretty much the only thing to enjoy (aside of the absence of ski boats and PWC's).. Trolled around for about 2.5 hours (11:30-2:00) with 1 short strike to show for it. Lots of boats on the lake, but I personally didn't see a fish caught.
I even had my lucky kids with me and still no fish!! How'd you do?

The guys at Dome Bait in Ventura said there were some fish being caught on live-bait early in the mornings. I heard the water had been very clear, but then heard that it had dirtied up again. What was the water clarity on Sunday?

Bob, the clarity was down considerably on Sunday from what it had been previously. It was somewhat hard to tell because the lake was so calm the surface was pretty cluttered with green algae or something.
Maybe the lack of wind and the bright sunshine were the keys to not catching fish. If the weather holds out I may have to try an evening trip yet. Sure was beautiful out there though!!!!
Smitty my boat of 3 fished sunday from 12-4 not a bite. We tryed live bait and pulling plugs. I saw lots of boats but not a fish caught. I think that no wind did not help but it sure was nice out there.Good luck and it wont be long and we will be drilling holes for walleyes. gary
