Me and my Indiana buddies will be venturing back to Kab June 8th for a week of hopefully great Walleye fishing. Any suggestions for eyes this time of year? Any advice of where to fish for the greatest success? We will be staying at Deer Horn resort, hopefully a nicer place than last years resort, Red Pine resort. I know were 7 months away, but were already excited. Should we trailer our boats, and try any lakes in that area for maybe better fishing?
Good time of the year. This last year the water was very high and made it a little different than normal. Both the shallow leech pattern 6'-14' and the deep jig and minnow pattern 26'-32' should be working. If your not already set on a resort I could make a couple of recomendations. I also could recomend a few guides if you are interested. I fish the lake about 70 days a summer and the first part of June along with September, I consider the best times. GOOD LUCK and have fun.

JAK, I appreciate your information, and if you could suggest a resort or a couple I would appreciate that also. This June we are staying at Deer Horn resort. Everyone seemed to be getting full that week of june. We plan on visiting some other resorts while we are there, to plan the following years trip. Any recomendations you could give would be appreciated.
I would recomend Moosehorn and Sandy Point. We stay at Moosehorn, they have a very nice harbor, spread out cabins, and taylor to the family atmosphere. (nice beach, water toys for the kids, etc.) Sandy Point is also a nice place, they are more of a full service resort including a resturant and bar. Most places on the lake are fairly nice, but I only recomend these two because of where they are located, how they are setup, and the people that run them. Check with Alan at Moosehorn or Gordon at Sandy Point. They are both very nice people.
They both have web sights so you can check them out. Again both of these places are a notch above the rest! If you have any more questions just ask. ...Jim
