i heard the perch were starting to bite heavy, and was woundering just how good it is.

Was there last Friday and Saturday. Loads of small perch (7"-10") being caught. Either wax worms or small minnows work best. The bigger fish are coming on the minnows. Templar Park is the only ramp that still has docks in. Good Luck!

From what I have heard, loads are being caught AND kept. It is more like 6 to 9 inches, with few of them being 9 inchers. Sure, there are an occasional 10 incher, but very few, and the minnow bite will take the larger fish. Some guys coming off the lake will tell you they have a limit of 10 inchers, but wont show you. Me thinks theyre ashamed. The Perch cycle continues: feast or famine, the same guys that call Big Spirit the "dead" sea, cannot wait to get here and haul em out.
