This evening I caught five decent walleyes just at dark 1-27" and 1-25" then three in the 17" to 18" range. However did put a ice pick through the ice with one thrust walking out. Ice under and snow pack is very dangerous. The fish came in 21' of water with a equal mix of jigging and livebait to produce the fish. Last Saturday also found decent action again five walleyes with 4 in the 16" to 18" slot and one topped 28", lost the sixth fish. Rock points seem to be doing the best. The lake I was on is FishHook, by Park Rapids, but heard from others that Straight and Blueberry have been decent too. Also again the tips of the rocky points. Key time is 3:30 PM to 4:45 PM. This should continue up until the full moon. By the way Saturdays action still was good in spite of the cold front.
Happy Holidays you guys.
