I Fished Elk lake in Nw Iowa yesterday evening. Got five nice eyes: 18" 20" 25" 26" 28" er's. I thought this lake died out last winter from low water conditions and lack of oxygen. If it did, It definatly did not kill them all!. I'm headed back up again this Thursday evening. I will post how I do. I was fishing 5' of water on the sw side of the main lake. I was rigging with jigging raps and Buck shot spoons firetiger color and tiping with a big chubs head. Fish went ballistic about 4:30 pm - 6:30 pm. They seemed to want a lot of action to the rig. really pumping it up and down off the bottom. It was a full moon too. Incredible action. I threw back at least a dozen 13"-14" ers. Ice was 6" thick, Great ice!. See ya there! Iceman
