Just a Question? Why isn't this aired in the Des Moines area? Or did I miss it?

I wish we were in Des Moines. We have been in Des Moines the past two years, but the costs just got too high. I don't think there are any outdoor television shows on network television in Des Moines.

We're in Cedar Rapids and Kansas City, along with lots of other markets throughout the Midwest, but the costs to air in Des Moines are prohibitive, and, in most cases, the network stations aren't really interested in airing outdoor shows.

We will be in Des Moines in the future if we can find a station that will air the show at a fair rate.

I called the station in Ankeny that you suggested last week, I believe that it was Tuesday. They didn't have anyone that could speak with me at that time, but said they would have the station manager call back. So far, there have been no call-backs. I will keep you posted if I hear anything.

Thanks for the interest in getting Fishing the Midwest back into the Des Moines market. I don't think the people who make the decisions at the stations realize that there is a large group of people in the Des Moines area that are anglers/outdoors-people and would like to have a fishing/outdoor show available in the market. The people at the stations need to be made aware of this by phone-calls or e-mails.

Those of us who produce fishing shows pay for the time on the stations, but it needs to be a fair rate. In Des Moines, we can't even get time made available to us.
