I would like to see you both join me on Big Sand for trophy walleyes and smallmouth. Demonstrating clearly what slot limits and closed seasons can do for the resource. Then if time allows take you to one of my true slab crappie lakes. Meaning fish in the 2# range. Not a spring bite either, what about mid-summer weedlines, prime time for sure. That invite has been there before but in the past your schedules don't allow for it. Then may with my opinions on spear fishing you have written me off entirely. Just a couple of ideas.
Give them some thought. I think in past my schedule hasn't actually been the easiest to work with either. By the way we are on a good walleye bite in 8' of water.....thanks to Joe Fellegy who tipped me off on this midwinter walleye movement way up shallow. We have had some fun indeed. Great to have you on the post Tony and thanks Bob for having us. I love to spark discussions from both sides of the issue.

Grew up in Iowa, fishing the Iowa Great Lakes and venturing into South Dakota, mostly the Chamberlin area and I know, from my experience as to what those areas have to offer, that Tony and Bob present the most accurate and believeable fishing shows currently showing on TV. I currently live in Wisconsin where the fishing is generally quite good. Either of you is welcome to come fish the Willow Flowage--the fishing is good and the atmosphere is terrific.

Wow. This fishing the Midwest forum sure has a group of people I have been hearing about and reading about and watching on TV for many years. This is just great :)

Thanks to all of you for getting us regular guys involved :)

I would agree that seeing some fishing on Mille Lacs for species other than walleye would be cool. I still love the Capra show episode on smallmouth ;)

A great place would be the Crane Lake, Sand Point Lake, Namakan Lake, etc. area of Voyageur National Park.
