This week on Fishing the Midwest television we will be on West Lake Okoboji in northwest Iowa fishing with Rusty Lathrop and Tim Roberts. Rusty and Tim will be practicing for the Paralyzed Veterans of America fishing tournament. We'll catch bass on drop-shot rigs and get a different perspective on why fishing is important.

In the second segment, we'll be after walleyes with John Peterson. John will be sharing his ideas for catching walleyes on one of his new creations, the Thumper Jig.

Check fishingthemidwest.com for a listing of times and stations.

See you there.

A great show once again Bob.

My hat is off to all the go-getter folks who participate in the in the PVA events.

From my own personal experience I know a little bit about where Rusty is coming from, and how he may feel on the water today. I think I need to get Rusty to teach me that drop-shotting gig for them sumo smallmouth some time. He sure looks like he has a handle on that method.

I especially liked your comments at the end of the show, very well said.

Thanks again Bob,

Ed C.

Hi Bob;
On today's show, you mentioned that you were staying at The Inn at Lake Okojobi, could you please provide me their 1-800 phone number as I'd like to make a reservation with them. Is the Inn on West Lake Okojobi? Thanks for your help.

HeyJude; You've got your tv shows mixed up. You were watching Tony Dean, not Bob Jensen. Oh Well..............

As always, Great show Bob! The only problem is that when I flip the jigs at the TV, I am afraid I may crack the picture tube pretty soon! I suppose I should start using the floating jigs instead!

Ah HA! It was you!

That is why the final segment this weekend got messed up? You got a jig suck in the tube?

Some local broadcasting troubles lost the last 7-10 min in the Fargo ND area this weekend, so I missed out on the segment with Northland, bummer.

Bob, good show this week. I particularly liked the segment with John Peterson. The Thumper Jig that you guys used is actually nothing new, its the same basic design as the Blakemore Roadrunner, which has been around since 1958. I've been using roadrunners up in Canada for years for both smallmouth and walleye. Hopefully with Northland making this jig they will be easier to find and have more color and size choices.
Keep up the good work.
