Anyone have a report on brushy? A buddy of mine and I are headed there for the first time this weekend. Any good spots to try?

I was just there a few weeks ago for 5 days with my family. We had a total of 3 boats fishing the lake.It was my first time there. We caught alot of small bluegills,5-6 inch's.My brother found some crappies and caught a bunch of them,6-8 inch range off of small minnows. If you put in at the boat ramp by the swimming beach you'll see a group of tree's out in front of you.Just fish all around those tree's if your looking for crappies. We also caught some bass, biggest one around 17 inches.I have no doudt you could catch a 100 of those small gills a day if you wanted to.I did get one that was 9 inches out in 25 foot of water looking for walleyes.Let me know how it goes, hope this helps you.Ryan Hale,rchale@midlands.net

We fished brushy creek on saturday night and sunday morning. There are a ton of blue gills in there. Only caught 3 decent ones. Caught several bass in the 13-16" range but they were not red hot by any stretch of the imagination. I caught one walleye on a rattle trap at about 10:30 at night. Ended up releasing him as it was the only one we caught.
Probably not going to hit that lake again for a year or too. Those tiny bluegills are way to pesky.
