Mississippi water flow

What's up with the increased water flows on the river?

It really screwed up the tailwater bite this weekend.

Does anyone know how long this is supposed to last?

Not sure what Pool you were fishing, but it obviously wasn't 4. The bite down there was phenominal. I also hear the croix is giving up some eyes???

I was a fur piece downstream - Bellevue Iowa, Dam 13.

My Maxxum 74 was running on high most of the day on Saturday. I've never seen them open up like this in December.

Sounds as though the Core is holding your pool as is.

We had a decent flow going on Sunday. I don't follow the flow rates much because when I get the chance to fish I just go. We do have quite a bit of run-off right now with the temps overnight staying in the 40's. I'm sure most of the snow we've gotten will be melted by Wednesday if the forecast is correct. Just wish I could hit the river again today. High of 47 predicted.
