Big Creek north of Des Moines

I will be fishing Big Creek on Saturday. Does anybody have any suggestions how to approach it? Thanks

never been there but do you know if that is a no wake lake? or can you run your boat wide open?

It is a no-wake lake. I've heard the ice fishing is slow right now. Ice is 10" thick at Lost Lake above the spillway, but the bluegills aren't biting. There were a lot of houses out on the main lake a couple of Saturdays ago, but don't know if they were doing any good.......I suspect they weren't. Good luck.

Went to Big Creek on Saturday. There were a lot of people out but not much going. I myself caught about 28 walleyes that were about 9 inches long, so I would say the future looks bright for walleyes. As far as panfish I get slim to none.
