Does anyone have any idea how the ice is in southern Iowa? 3 Mile, Twelve Mile, etc. How has the fishing been also?

Fishing has been great on 3 mile and 12 mile, but lousy on Little River. I wouldn't waste my time going to Little River. STAY AWAY FROM LITTLE RIVER. Ice is from 10" down to open water. Stay away from the open water......kind of hard to run the auger there anyway. Talk to the guy at the baitshop in Polk City.....he knows a guy named Ed who is "in the know" about what's happening in Southern Iowa on these lakes. I don't think he works, so he may even be willing to guide you. Good luck Jap.

Farm pond fishing around Atlantic and Neola have been great. I only get to fish a couple hours in mid afternoon, but when I have gone, it doesnt take long to fill half to 3/4 a five gallon bucket

Ice I would guess at 4-7 inches.
