anyone been fishing the big spirit? planning on going up sat. any info would be great. thanks fl-8

Fishing is pretty good but the ice is not good!! 14 inches on East side of Spirit afew days ago, now less that 7 inches. There is a big strip open in the middle and the wind has a current setup under the ice and its melting from the bottom up. I would NOT drive on the ice now and it probably will not be any better the rest of year either.
BE CAREFULL, FISH JUST ARE NOT WORTH THE PRICE!

Another big hole opened up in the South east corner over the weekend. Very little activity anymore. A few cars still on the east side, hugging the shoreline and walking out.
