Heidecke lake is the last of the Chicagoland power plant lakes to open.It usually opens around the second week of april.Heidecke is a coal burning power plant and the lake tempts.are cooler than Lasalle and Braidwood but warmer than natural lakes. There is no charge for launching with three concrete ramps and ample parking. There is also a bait shop and food concession right at the launch that also rents 16ft. boats and motors. There are Stripers, walleye, smallmouth, largemouth, whitebass,c ats and some muskie.
OK thanks. just what I was looking for.
