How about a show with some tips and tricks with your depth finder?
Show different examples of what your looking at.
(bottom structure,fish, ect.)

Maybe bring in the factory rep?

I enjoy your show.. Keep up the good work!!

Better yet, bring in SEVERAL factory reps from the top manufacturers and their best models and go over a piece of structure and ask them to identify what they are seeing. Then, use a few underwater cameras to verify it.

Show the viewers which model did the best.

Thanks for the idea. This is something I have been kicking around, but I have a question. My original thought would be to feature sonar on one of our short segments. That would be about seven minutes. Do you still want to see fishing in that segment, or could we do just something on using and reading sonar.

Also, would you like to see perhaps a tour of a boat factory, fishing tackle test lab, etc. These would be relative to fishing in that it would provide some insight to behind the scenes stuff. However, there would be little or no actual fishing in that seven minute segment. What do you think?

We want to show you what you want to see. Your thoughts are sincerely appreciated.

My two cents:

I'd prefer a sonar segment to be just on sonar and how the display matches what's under the water, etc., without fishing.

I'd also like to see a tackle test lab, but am not as interested in a tour of a boat factory.

While we're making some suggestions-how about a segment on GPS's? I know I'm in the process of buying one & am having trouble deciding which one is right for me. Which one is more user freindly? Are all those bells & whistles needed for the commom fishing person? Which is better for small lakes? ETC.

Great idea about sonar! It would be real important that it is done on the water under fishing conditions and I really like the idea of having a couple units side by side to see how they compare although your sponsors may not like that. I also don't care to much about seeing a boat factory or tackle factory. Keep the shows to catching and show how, why, where and time of year.

I would agree... Just sonar, with the camera to show the reality. Maybe even a split screen at times, that would be cool!

Good ideas!

Definately a show just on Depthfinder comparisons (Also Color vs. Mono) like Snowman suggest. Why not have a segment showing how boats are built. I've toured the Lund factory and it was very interesting to see. A segment on the Berkley factory or some other.

P.S. Bob you might have to make the Depthfinder show an hour long to fit all it in.

Thanks Bob.....

This is a great idea, could easily fill one half hour with good, concise pictures of the LCD and the lake bottom and fishing besides, has great potential, not easy, but would be great if you could pull it off. Explain those buttons, what the markings actually look like on the water, not in the catalog. Forget the factory tour stuff, concentrate on fishing techniques and tools. Maybe a segment on effective ways to use drift socks for drifting and trolling. Don't just show them in the water and say "there they are", give some good ideas on rigging, size, etc.
