Walleye wannabe

I have just started walleye fishing seriously and was wondering what I should look for in my lake because it does not have any cricks or rivers leading to it. Also if trolling or jigging would be better for pre spawn. Thanks:)

Try sand or rubble areas close to shore. Start with 1/16th ounce jigs tipped with minnows or Power Grubs. Try both, sometimes the fish will show a preference. Also, try a splitshot rig, which is just a hook with a shot 15-20 inches up the line. Maybe a slip-bobber rig also. Work an are over good before leaving.
Any current at all will attract walleyes. Maybe a culvert, areas between bridges, necked down areas.
Also, watch where other anglers are fishing. Don't move in on them, but what other anglers are doing can provide a lot of help.
Good luck, let us know how you do.
