I don't think I've missed an episode for two years and would consider myself a loyal viewer and I want the show to succeed. However, watching the 20 minutes of what was pretty much an ad for a hunting and fishing lodge in South Dakota was disappointing. Last week's catfish adventure was slightly more informative, and the slip bobber segment went by so quickly I'm still trying to remember if I saw it. That could be an entire show in itself and could be informative. Show people the different types of slip bobbers and rigging. Show them actual applications and different ones. I just am not seeing the effort to communicate and explain and I think the show is missing out big time on this. This year seems to be a lot of the same stuff as last year, but more diversions and less real information. I am concerned. Been watching fishing shows forever, or at least since I was a kid watching Virgil Ward. There are certainly more now than ever, but even younger viewers, and I would think FTMW would and should have a lot of them, can discriminate what is providing them with real "how to" and what is providing them with watching people in a boat, some casual comments and advertising. Sorry this isn't real positive, truly am. Just had this feeling early in the year and have been watching and waiting for the show that would change my mind, but haven't seen it yet. Just see so much great potential not being realized.

Thank you very much for the input. It is sincerely appreciated. We try to provide a mix of information and entertainment, and sometimes it's very hard to determine what the proper mix is. We try to provide some insight into the lives of our guests as well as info that will help anglers catch more fish. The only way we can arrive at the right mix is from viewer input.

I just saw the South Dakota show for the first time this morning(Sunday 3/9). The information about the lodge was some insight to the folks who run that lodge. We thought a 4th generation family farm turned into a lodge was interesting.

The second segment with John Peterson provided some great largemouth bass catching information.

Additionally, response to the cooking segments has been extremely strong and positive.

I am very appreciative of your loyalty to our show and also greatly appreciate your suggestions. I promise that we are working hard to produce the type of show that most anglers want to see. Please continue to provide your input, positive and negative.

Thanks again.

Best Fishes,

Bob Jensen

Bob; I must agree with the orignal post. I feel that more instruction in the methods used would be the way to go. If this means that only one fishing segment is shown along with a cooking segment, or two fishing segments and no cooking segment are shown, I believe the show would be better.

Many others may disagree with me, and you certainly can't be all things to all people, but very classy of you to respond, Bob, and that is part of why the show is successful. GLO

Bob, love your show. The wife and I look forward to it each week. I find taping the show very beneficial. Allows us to go back and review some of the detailed instruction/information that we miss the first time. Keep up the good work.
