Are there any recent reports from Clear Lake? We were considering an evening trip this week and would like to know if there's anything going on. Being somewhat unfamiliar with the lake, I've heard that it can be difficult to find a boat landing. Any "idiot-proof" directions to an access near the fishing would be great.

Shouldn't be any trouble finding a boat ramp. I almost always use the one at MacIntosh State Park on the northwest side of the lake. It's 3 wide, cement, and plenty deep. There is another good one at Lynn Lorenzen Park about a mile west of MacIntosh. MacIntosh has the most parking. Shouldn't have any problem finding a place to put the boat in.

Yellow bass are still going good, use tiny jigs, 1/64th or 1/32nd ounce with a splitshot a foot above and small minnow. Great eating.

Walleyes have been ok, getting better. Crankbaits trolled or spinners trolled or drifted are best.

Catfish are good near the rushes in the northwest corner.
