I've seen this lure splashed on the front cover of an ice-fishing magazine, and seen it 'in use' within the pages of many others. The lure looks very good...like a deeper, more proportioned version of the Rapala Jigging Minnow.

Have any of you used this for ice wallys and had any success? Any of you plan on using it this winter?

I plan on getting my hands on a few and wonder how others have faired using it.

thx

????????????????????????????

NOBODY's heard of, used, has, wants this lure? Are you sure you guys are cutting edge fishermen, or did I already miss the 90-post chubby darter thread?

~confused.

Ranger

I would certainly like to contribute here more often, but to be honest, I usually don't have much to add. Walleye fishing for me is more of a secondary passion after smallmouth hunting. I do enjoy trophy walleye fishing and the occasional trip for 'eaters', but my methods are pretty unsophisticated and I'm probably not going to add anything to my arsenal anytime soon.

I usually just fish with bottom-bouncers/spinner-rigs and more often than not, a jig and minnow or jig and twister tail combo. Hey, the cranks work I'm sure as well as a host of other presentations, but I can't stop using what works.

So, I like to come here and read the posts etc. but can't really offer anything cutting edge! To me, walleye fishing is walleye fishing, not quite as dynamic as going for smallies (I hope the walleye Gods didn't hear that). But, like a bad smell, I'll be hanging around ;-) .

Here's a sample of this years catch:
