View Full Version : August 7th, snap-jigging Little Bay de Noc walleye action!

Time on the water 7:00 am, water surface temps. running between 68' to 72' by 11:00 am, winds were from the north at 5 to 15 mph. increasing as the morning went on. Location and we were working the weedbeds of cabbage and coontail off 1st. and 2nd. Reef along with the weeds east of Butlers Island.
Snap-jigging 1/4 ounce Northland Mimmic Jigs tipped with 3" and 4" Power Grubs and Power Gulp Tails. Water depths we were working and 8 to 12 feet of water.
Results and 5 keeper size walleye between 16 and 24 inches along with a
12 and 1/2 inch perch along with a couple northern pike and smallmouth bass and undersize walleye.
Time on the water for fishing around 5 hours, results and both father/son team, Larry and Chris Wysong Holland, Michigan indeed learned more about fishing and had a fun morning.
