Am coming up from AZ middle of Oct. and staying on Pelican by Brainerd. Any fishing advice would be welcome. Particularly interested in Walleye, Northern and Crappie. Am a Minnesotan originally ya betcha (as you can tell by my sign on name) and get back up there once a year, but have never stayed on Pelican before.
Thanks so much and HAVE A GOOD DAY! ;-)

I used to live in the Brainerd area, but mostly fished Gull, which can be a great autumn lake for walleyes. I was told that Pelican can be a good night-bite lake for 'eyes, but I have never tried that before on Pelican. Nisswa Bait, Marv Koep's former bait shop, used to be the best place for info.

Wish I could be of more help, ask around. Marv Koep still guides up there if that interests you. Great guy, great guide.

Let us know how you do.
