I just spoke with a friend who thought that ice conditions were still, overall, unsafe on Brushy Creek. Bays and close-to-shore areas might be ok to walk on, but he suggested that we need some more cold weather to lock the lake in.
Let us know if you go to Brushy Creek if you would please. It's a good lake.

I will report after I get down there, sounds like I need to have a little patience. I had a good crappie and gill bite going in Little Anglers, I think that has slowed I haven't been back up there for a week. I did try Big Stony Point on Fri., very slow one 13in walleye but my partner stuck an 8lb northern on a Nils Master. I haven't been to West Okoboji yet, but there are some houses on Smith,Little Emerson and Little Millers. Thanks for the heads up on the ice conditions at Brushy, Bob.

I fished Brushy on Saturday morning 1/24/04. Caught 20 to 25 Blue Gills, after sorting I kept 14 that were between 6 1/2" to 8".
Fished in the tree tops in about 17' to 19' of water in the Taylor Island area. Seemed best to drill a hole, catch a couple then move to another hole. Must be scattered pretty good.
